What is corruption?
The use of power or material resources to gain an unfair advantage or avoid deserved damages.
How do we fight it?
The effective fight against corruption is a two-way road: on one side citizens and companies behaving and acting ethically; and on the second, the three levels of government overseeing and guaranteeing compliance of all laws as well as an honest, clear, transparent and effcient exercise of public resources which are contributed by citizens and companies.
What is impunity?
Lack of criminal, civil, administrative, disciplinary and even moral or social liability for the perpetrators of violations; the guilty are not subject to investigation, indictment, detention, processing nor social rejection. In case of prosecution, penalties, sentences and/or compensation to their victims for damages are reduced or inappropriately determined.
